Handling
Filling the snuffbox:
Open the black closing caps by prying them out. Then put the snuff of your choice in the filling chamber. After filling close the opening again with the closing cap.
Dosing the snuff:
First, pull the control lever back. The further this is withdrawn, the larger the desired amount of snuff. Now the snuff can be shaken into the loading chamber (best cover the chamber opening with a finger and shake it upside down).
Position the snuffbox:
Bring the chamber opening into the desired position
(directly to the nose or back of the hand)
Spend snuff:
  • Nose: simply let go of the control lever
  • During the hand: release control lever in a controlled manner
Maintenance / Cleaning
To clean the empty snuffbox with a cleaning brush, the control lever can be unscrewed and the dosing piston with the tension spring and the closing cap can be removed. The cleaning must be carried out "dry" without liquids. By rubbing the snuffbox with vegetable oil (e.g. poppy or olive oil) their surface can be refurbished.
Safety instructions
The snuffbox is only suitable for the use described above. It is to be treated with care and protected against dirt, heat sources, moisture, sunlight and mechanical stress. The snuff box is not suitable for children!
